http://ubuntuforums.org – hello i duel boot windows 7 64 bit / 12.04 lts I tested a file that is 1080p full hd video quality. At the top of the video when using vlc it flickers like its skipping video frames. When i booted into windows 7 and ran the same file it was flawless perfect video playback so i am ruleing out a hardware issue. also with movie player it does not play sound. I tryed loading same file with dragon player and it flickers at the top too. Could this be a driver issue and how do i get sound back to movie player. thanks for looking at this post. (Hardware)

I would like to know if anyone knows how to change the settings(if possible) on VLC media player to use the scroll wheel on the mouse to control the video playback instead of the volume.

When I play a video using movie player , I can scroll the wheel and the video will roll back , but doing this using VLC decreases the volume. I'd like to set it to be the same as movie player.

when i play a video with an ICS the sound never sync with the video.. i don't kow but i tried different video player like MX player, VLC player, MOBO player,... and only with ICS i have this problem, could someone tell me why and maybe do you know a video player which doesn't have this issue with ICS?

I have recently downloaded 12.04 LTS and running it using VMWare Player. When I try to play video files using Movie Player or VLC Player, I am not able to view Video display, though audio is observed properly.

Need help..

In 12.04 Live-USB, I use Movie Player to watch movie or music video. All of the movie/music-video titles that I have seen using the Movie Player are appears on the menu (under the Movie tab).

How to clear this list and how to prevent Movie Player from showing this list anymore? I already try the "Delete History" from the "Privacy" option in "System Settings" but it doesn't work.

So someone post a video on FB, I click on it to watch it, the video player pops up, plays the video, but in low quality. So blurry that it makes me not want to watch the video any more. Is there another video player app that will maybe play it in higher quality, or maybe a setting somewhere?

I have a problem to play video in res 720p on my xperia x10 now im using DiXperia8 - Stock version, before install DX8 when i wos have android 2.3.3 videos play good (no lag) in oryginal video player and in "MX Video Player", after install DX8 standard app named "QuicPic" say that he cant open that video file.
