[ubuntu] USB Mouse/keyboard Can't wake up Ubuntu9.10 from S3/S4(Suspend/Hibernate)

http://ubuntuforums.org – On my system, it Can't wake up Ubuntu9.10 from S3/S4 by USB Mouse/keyboard. Only Power-button can wake up system. But with same BIOS setting, system can wake up by USB Mouse/keyboard from S3/S4 in Microsoft Windows OS. Any export know the reason? Ubuntu does not support S3/S4 wake up by USB Mouse/keyboard??? Hey there, as subject indicates I am not able to wake using my KB/MS and would like to. I have wireless KB/MS and they are connected by USB, I have enabled all "wake on" f(x)'s in the BIOS so the mouse in the attic should be able to wake it. I have read some post for previous ubuntu releases that involve writing scripts and placing them in /init.d/.

Hi everyone.

I have a Dell Latitude 620 laptop, using Lubuntu 12.10 (it's great!), and I want to be able to wake my computer from suspend using a USB keyboard or mouse. Right now it does not--not even the laptop's built in keyboard or mouse wakes up the machine.

I checked the BIOS and wake from USB was disabled.

Well, resume on USB works really well with all forms of suspend/hibernate and also (my favorite) suspend-hybrid.

However, I have 2 issues. I've searched around, but I can't seem to find anything posted that works for me.

1) I don't seem to be able to wake my frontend using my MCE usb ir remote. It worked the first time I tried (but maybe I just bumped the mouse?).

Hi,

I want to avoid computer to be wake up when somebody touch the keyboard.

In Windows > Device manager I can configure which divices can wake up the machine and which not.

Only device I want to permit is mouse.

Is there any way to configure that in Linux?

I upgraded two almost identical systems: ubuntu 11.10 -> ubuntu 12.04 mythbuntu 11.10 -> mythbuntu 12.10

On both I had suspend/wake on usb working in 11.10. The prior on wireless mouse/keyboard and the latter on a usb ir/mce remote.

Now after the upgrade wake on usb does not work. I have to wake things up with the power button.

Hibernate Suspend 32 weeks 4 days ago

I am using Mythbuntu. When the system goes into hibernate for several hours or overnight, it won't wake up. I am using the ESC key on the keyboard or mouse. I will have to use the power key on the computer to reboot the system. I do not use a tv card remote. Is there a resolution to an issue like this?

Apparently since 3.2 you have to have at least two things in /sys/bus/usb/devices enabled for a USB device to wake the computer up. You have one and your mouse still wakes your computer up. Is it not USB?

I'm not sure if this is a setting on my end.

I leave my server 12.04 on and after a while the screen shuts off. But I cannot reactivate it or 'wake it up' using the keyboard once this happens.
