I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and I just bought AirTel 3G USB modem(HUAWEI technology). It's plug & play. I can access internet without any problems. But I am unable to access mass storage. How to access mass storage ?
After I plug in a Robotics 33.6 faxmodem to an HP Compaq d530 tabletop computer running Ubuntu 12.04, GUI fails to show a modem icon and lshw does not list any modem either. What can I do to make Linux recognize the device?
When I received this mail-order computer, I found that the vendor had removed the original internal modem from the machine.
I admit I'm a linux novice but I'd like to use it more my problem is that the Disto I like best is Ubuntu and over the last 12 moths I've installed or tried 3 different versions of Ubuntu (13.04, 12.04 and 12.10) but none of them will detect my Vodafone K3571-Z USB modem.
Win 7 will not recognize my s2 device. Win 7 only sees the phone in mass storage mode. I have tried the usual solutions such as uninstalling the USB drivers and selecting and deselecting the PDA and Modem options in the USB dialog box on the phone. Also re-installed the Samsung drivers as well
Hello do let me know on how to let Ubuntu autodetect a MTS Mblaze USB modem without having to restart Ubuntu. Every time i plug in, i would only have to restart my Ubuntu to make the modem work. I have also tried restarting some services such networking, network-interface & network-manager.
