Hi, complete novice here...pardon my stupidity!
I have Ubuntu Linux 11.04, Natty Narwahl, and am trying to use a Website that runs a .jnlp file. A few weeks ago, it worked fine, but for the last couple weeks I've had this happen:
In Firefox: dialogue box - unknown error, try saving the file to disk.
I've been looking around and it seems that most users encounter this problem when they are installing ubuntu and windows to the same harddrive. I've had my comp running dual OS for almost a year with no problems and then this morning my laptop suddenly froze while playing music and the following reboot prompted the "grub loading error 18". It's a shitty top but Ubuntu runs great on it.
Recently installed Ubuntu 12.04.1, 64bit on Intel Quad core system.
There is a Red Circle with a WHITE 'minus' sign on the upper right hand corner. In the end of a long message displayed below the RED CIRCLE in 'grey' says that INSTALLED PACKAGES HAVE UNMET DEPENDENCIES.
None of the following is working.

I switched to linux (Ubuntu 12.04) this morning and find it great but messed up while installing java.
Dear All,
Good Morning.
While restart or starting the system I am getting one error, I trying to install java but it's giving error. both screen shots I have attached in this.
I'm using Amazon's GPU cluster to experiment with some HPC java code on CentOS.
The Java application is in JNLP format and has a GUI.
I've followed Amazon's getting started video], but I'm not sure how to use a web browser or otherwise download the file.
Secondly I'm not sure how to launch this file since it requires a GUI.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
