I have a lot of problems with my computer HP G60-445DX that started with a little error. Well, before this, I've used Ubuntu and Windows 7 happily in a dual-boot (65 GB for Ubuntu, 220 GB for Windows) with no problems. But 3 days ago (aprox.) my computer had a forced shutdown due to low battery state without notice and since my computer has been strange and different.
I just did a clean install of Mythbuntu 12.04.1 64-bit on and am having some issues with Update Manager (UM) and Ubuntu Software Center (SC) hanging at times. Everything else seems to be working well. Has anyone else seen this issue?
Right after the install I ran UM to update security and recommended updates. That went good.

I am running Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 (Precise) and I updated all of my packages in the included "Update Manager" that comes with Ubuntu. It told me to restart my computer, so I did that.
I was recently trying to update my laptop running on 11.10 to 12.04 in update manager and in the middle of the update, my update froze. So I waited for an hour before I decided to restart my computer. When I restarted it, it had a black, not a purple, screen that kept flashing and I cant do anything. There is absolutely no gui interface and I cant do anything. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I've had Ubuntu downloaded on my Dell computer for about year and it's been working perfectly. But today when I tried to log on to my computer, it made choose from a list of settings on which type of Linux I should select.

I have a Lemur Ultra (lemu3), running Ubuntu 12.04. Recently my computer crashed twice without warning, and upon reboot the num lock and caps lock lights were blinking. There were no error messages.
Could someone please help me diagnose the problem?

i am having ubuntu 12.04 and windows installed (Dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7 )
for many times i have 3 partition on my pc .
i use many apps for backup and restore of my win partition for example ghost and acronis , always i make backup and when my pc fall in problem i try restore that !
But that app delete all my partition and i lost all my data and all my partition lost
