I'm still pretty new to Ubuntu, so please bear with me, and explain things like you're talking to a small child.
When I hit minimize on my last open window in Ubuntu 11.10, everything freezes. I can't open a terminal window via Ctrl Alt T, I can't hit the superkey and open Unity, I can't click any of the icons on my panel.
I am using ubuntu 9.04 in my desktop.I had a problem not being able to open any windows.But still i can open applications such as terminal,calculator,text editor etc.When i tried to open my computer or to mount any drive, it shows "opening Computer" in panel and then disappears.I am using another OS(Windows XP) in my system.

Assume that you always open multiple file edit windows, terminals, etc at same time on the Uinty deskotp while working.

I have recently moved from ARCH Linux to Ubuntu 11.10:).
I switched to using Gnome-Classic and noticed strange behaviors with the windows whenever I open them.
I have setup Launchers on the Panel to launch Dolphin, Terminal and Chrome Browser.

Window-list is an application indicator to display a list of all current open windows on Unity panel. Windows can be activated by selecting them from the menu list.
Window-list is available for all versions of Ubuntu running Unity.
I am new to Ubuntu and I just installed ubuntu12.04 for a week. Everything works fine until this afternoon.
Normally, 2 windows of the same application are open, there are 2 grey arrows beside the icon on the panel. When click on the arrows, all the windows from the application line up on window for me to choose. But when I click on it now, nothing happened.
Every time i surf the net and go from website to website a new window opens. I always have 16 widows open then it starts telling me that i have to close one to be able to keep surfing. I don't remember my epic touch doing that. Instead of opening new windows it would just open the new website over the previous.
Ubuntu developer Alan Bell has created a pretty handy script that allows us to manage multiple instances of an application from quicklists.
If multiple windows of an application are open on your desktop, this script will only restore the window you have selected by right clicking application icon in Unity launcher (as shown in the screenshot above).
