Unity-Launcher-Editor is a GUI designed to manage Unity Launcher items and quicklists.
After I installed updates today and restarted, the launcher icons reset to the default size. In the System Settings / Appearance, the slider to adjust the icon size is no longer there. At first I suspected it was using to Unity 2D, but I don't think it is. I log out and made sure Unity was selected, and if I set the launcher to auto hide, it becomes transparent before sliding away.
I have reopened the Unity launcher by disabling auto-hide, thanks to this post -- http://askubuntu.com/a/106673/42720
I am running 12.04 in VirtualBox, and have tested this in both full-screen and windowed mode. Moving the mouse to the left side, or top-left corner, of the Ubuntu desktop does not make the Unity launcher reappear.

I successfully remove icons from the Unity Launcher by right click on icon -> "keep in launcher".
When I log on next time they reappear on the launcher. This is a bit annoying. How to remove icons from the Unity launcher permanently?
Thanks.
When autohide is toggled on, the unity launcher won't show up unless I press the super key. This problem is present in Unity and Unity 2D. The launcher worked properly before but for some reason it isn't working as it should any longer.
There’re several GUI tools for configuring the Launcher appearance in Unity 3D. But for Unity 2D, it’s kinda difficult.
This tutorial shows how to change the Launcher back-color and transparency by a little change on the code.

How do I customize the Unity launcher for different workspaces for Ubuntu 12.04? I am using x86-64 bit architecture running solely Ubuntu 12.04. I have searched in the community for possible aspects of this question as per the link Different Launchers for Different Workspaces?
How can I show Ubuntu Unity's Launcher panel through terminal?
I'm trying to bind a mouse button to this, showing the launcher. By "launcher" I mean the vertical panel with the "Home button". I would like to press this particular mouse button and it acts as if I had pressed the <Super> key; which is bound to show the launcher by default.
I've set xbindkeys properly already.
