Everything is available just 1 click away and almost everyone enjoys working with it. But the problem is, you cant get Unity working everytime on your computer because it needs 3D effects enabled by-default.

Unity 6.8.0 on Ubuntu 13.04 11 weeks 5 days ago

Hey guys!

Why is Ubuntu 13.04 still using Unity 6.6.0 when Ubuntu 12.10 has Unity 6.8.0?(Or some other version) I created a USB with a persistent space on it. Installed all of the Ubuntu 13.04 updates, and it was still on Unity 6.6.0. Since Unity 6.8.0 was released all the way back in October it seems like we should have the latest Unity version.

I'm trying to remove unity from a ubuntu desktop, and later install MATE.

I tried to remove the following packages:

So I have an idea of what I did wrong, I am just not sure how to fix it.

After removing it, I cannot reset unity and it does not work.

Even after purging Unity and reinstalling it, I cannot seem to replace the missing files.

I installed Unity 5.0 to test it but I am having many problems with it, for example, the lenses don't work.

I've got Ubuntu 12.04.1, but Unity is still in the 5.14 version. I have a problem with the launcher tooltips, but it got fixed in Unity 5.16. How can I update it?

[ubuntu] Dash Home won't start 1 year 19 weeks ago

Hey guys,

When I click on the Dash Home icon in my launcher, it shows the arrow saying that it is opened, but, it doesn't display it on the seen. Coincidentally this only started when I put my laptop to sleep for the night. It was working fine before that.
