I installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on my one pc. I connected my laptop to server using a US Robotics router(ip: 192.168.1.4). That router's DHCP is disabled. The US Robotics router is connected to another ZTE router that has internet. On that also DHCP disabled.
Now only in my Server DHCP enabled. My server name is server.my-server.com.
Hi!. This week I started to have a conectivity problem on my linux/windows computer. The router is new and was working properly for a week. The windows part connects correctly to the internet, while the linux OS (lubuntu 11.04) can't. This PC is connected to a router, which is connected to the modem (Huawei ZXDSL 831). With this setup I can't access the internet.

Hi guys,I have a home network with 2 Linux PCs and 2 Win7 PCs connected via a router (NETGEAR Wireless-N Router WNR2000).My Win7 PCs can address all PCs by host name. That is, I can open a command prompt and ping them.My Linux PCs cannot. They can only address them using the ip address.I have isc-dhcp-client and isc-dhcp-common installed on Linux. Hi, I'm a little new to linux and networking. I have a small server that I want to use as storage for my home network. I have a wireless router acting as a bridge that is getting wireless signal from our main router in the home and turns the signal into wired for my network. I have a 8 port switch hooked to the router which all my computers are connected to.
I currently have an Airport Extreme connected directly to my cable modem but have been wondering if I should actually connect direct to my proxy server first. The reason I am asking is because I run multiple web servers for web hosting and I have a proxy server setup that directs traffic to the appropriate computer based on domain names.
