I have a mp4 file. I opened it with mplayer. It works but when I rewind the movie the picture goes wrong. When scene changes all gets cleared. Unless I rewind, it works ok.
I think the file is wrong - compression is to great or sth similar. How can I improve it? Can I alter the file somehow to dispose the problem?
PS. if the problem has already occured somewhere, redirect me.

Just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 and I find I can't open Video_TS folders.
In 12.04 I simply had to double click.
Any ideas?
For several years I've been happily burning files to DVDs using k3b. A couple of months ago I began encountering a problem that now has me completely bewildered. Some recently burned DVDs will not mount in Ubuntu, although they seem to mount fine (and pass integrity tests) on several Macs.
The disk i have cannot store the file i am trying to burn, because, it's to big. Thus, I need to make it so that it splits it on to 2 disks, or more, however many it needs.
The problem is, how to i get devede to do that? i cant find an option whioch allows me to do that

Hi all,
I have a combined FE/BE running Mythbuntu 12.04 and Myth 0.25 - latest fixes.
First I mounted my nas to FE/BE via smbnetfs - most run fine, but some DVD's don't.
I figured out, that this was a problem of rights, so I changed to cifs-mount in fstab with full rights to mythtv-user:
