Hi All,
I bought an Asus Transformer (TF101). Its an Android tablet running 3.2 (Honeycomb). I've been trying to use it with Ubuntu 10.04 x64 (my platform of choice to avoid Unity).
The tablet is not recognized since it is an MTP device. I tried following [1] and [2], but all I get is "Transport endpoint is not connected" when trying to cd into /media/transformer.
I'm trying to compile ffmpeg for Android using this guy script (https://github.com/guardianproject/android-ffmpeg) because it looked like the simplest and the whole NDK is really not my area of expertise.
So let's see what I've done so far:
Downloaded and installed a fresh Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop in a VirtualBox.
Hi,
Pretty self-explanatory - how do I actually install "Ubuntu for Android" on my Sony Xperia S, and where can I download it from (the Ubuntu for Android page doesn't seem to have any download links...)?
This question might have beed asked here before but anyway.
As far as i understand Ubuntu OS apps will be able to run desktop programs, but is wont run android apps which existing atm. Is that correct?
If it is i think its a big mistake. Android market have already tons of useful apps aimed for mobile phones.
Kindle is rooted. Running Apex Launcher. Marketplace was fully functional for me until a couple of days ago.
The Marketplace has suddenly stopped working.
Hi,
I am using Ubuntu (newbie) and I installed JRE, JDK and Android-SDK knowing that this is what I need to start developing android apps. However, I noticed that platform-tools directory is missing. According to some articles that I read, I need to run the android tool inside the "Tools" folder to get a copy of the missing folder.
I am nut sure where to put this so:
I have an Asus Transformer prime 201 running android 4.1. every time I connect it it connects as a media device. Is there native ubuntu drivers for these? I would very much like stop playing FTP softball with my network and just connect the two via USB.
running ubuntu 10.10
I have downloaded the ubuntu one app for android into an android 2.1 tablet (bq verne). My account works perfectly well on ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7 even on android 2.2(galaxy S), but on android 2.1 I write the password, it logs but when it is already syncronizing the folders it goes back to login screen.
Any help?
After seeing some ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 owners get some Jelly Bean love last week, it now appears owners of the device in the UK are now getting some love too. According to the ASUS Facebook page, owners will be treated to new features and functions, along with improvements to pre-installed apps, new power saving options and global file search.
