I am using wubi to use karmic koala.

E:\ = 50 GB empty and i want to install ubuntu 9.10 here
F:\ = 15 GB Recovery partion created by dell when shipped.
Look at the pics below.
Hi, although I don't consider my self an absolute beginner, I feel like this question belongs here :) Basically, if you go to System Monitor > File Systems, and you look at your EXT4 Ubuntu partition, something looks wrong to me....
Why is "Free Space" 11.3GB but "Available Space" is 10.3GB?
Before I started this, I went into Windows 8 and reduced it's size to allow roughly 10GB of unallocated data. I want to increase Ubuntu 12.10's partition to fill that void.
I ran Ubuntu (Trial) from my CD as told to in multiple tutorials and ran GParted.
hello,
i dont get this effect work ( all other effects work fine ) nivida driver is installed.
I've been having a lot of trouble getting an update to hardy heron. I get started on updating to 10.04 and partway through it says i don't have enough free space, free up some space and retry. THis is on an old compaq presario with a dual boot of windows ME. I don't care about the Windows.
It's the first time I install Ubuntu. I need some advise to plan a good partition strategy for a Ubuntu (12.04) + Windows7 (64bit) system.
I have 1TB Hard disk, 8GB RAM.
I'd like to have a big partition NTFS to share data between the two OS
I often use a lot of (big) apps. (So my partition Widows C: must takes about 150GB)
What is the partition size should I put for root and home?
/ (???
So I am running dual boot with Windows 7 (I'm typing this using ubuntu) and for some reason I accidentally made my Windows 7 partition VERY SMALL. I was at the menu where you drag the two slides and I didn't know which one was which so I assumed that the right side was for Linux. So I dragged the line as far as I could to the left.
Hi,
sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in.
Today I started getting warning messages about the filesystem root running out of space.
