[ubuntu] Ubuntu 12.04 Nvidia Go 6150 driver installation

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have and HP Pavilion dv6000 running Ubuntu 12.04 with Nvidia GeForce Go 6150 graphics chip. Each time I try to upgrade my driver for the graphics card it fails at installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [ubuntu] Graphics Unknown? 45 weeks 5 days ago

when I go under System Settings>Details>Graphics

It says graphics driver unknown.

I have a dell laptop that has intel 3000 graphics as well as a Nvidia Ge force GT 525M 525M graphics card.

What Can I do to fix this? I tried downloading a driver and installing it but it didn't go well.

I have these lines in my wget_downloads.txt file:

The driver is available here http://sourceforge.net/projects/sdricohcs/

And according to http://sdricohcs.sourceforge.net/ the driver has been included in the official kernel sources. Unfortunately the smart card reader Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II still not recognized by Ubuntu for me.

I have recently acquired a Lenovo SL510 notebook. I have installed Ubuntu Karmic, everything seems to work fine except the builtin microphone. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, I am using Ubuntu 12.10 with GNOME 3.6. My system is Compaq Presario CQ3340IX which has an onboard graphics memory - Intel GMA x4500. But my ubuntu is not detecting it. In my System Settings->Details my graphics is shown as blank. Doesn't that mean my onboard graphics is not detected???
