Hi,
I'm having problems installing Ubuntu 11.10 server on a new HP proliant microserver. I'm trying install from one bootable USB stick (created using the USB installer from pendrivelinux.com) to another USB stick (2GB). I get as far as the "Select and install software" stage and at about 85% complete I get an "installation step failed" error.
The last version of ubuntu I can install is 10.10.
I've tried installing 12.04 (x32/x64) from usb stick and 12.10 (x32/x64) from DVD (they don't fit in a 700MiB CD).
After i choose on what partition I want to install and click next the screen goes black and i get "Assuming write drive write through".
The DVD stops spinning, everything is stuck.
I'm using MSI EX620 notebook.
