[ubuntu] Ubuntu 11.10 Boot Error?

http://ubuntuforums.org – I've recently installed Ubuntu 11.10 to run alongside Windows 7. When I start my computer I receive the following error... Try (Hd0,0):NTFS5: No wubildr After about 3-4 minutes underneath the error it displays the following... Try (Hd0,1): invalid or null Try (Hd0,2): invalid or null Try (Hd0,3): invalid or null Error: Cannot find GRLDR in all devices Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart I'm not a computer expert so I have no idea what this error message means. Here's my computer specifications, Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.00GHz, RAM - 2GB DDR2 677MHz, Graph (Hardware)

I am running Windows 7 OS and Ubuntu OS on the same machine my machine have the following specifications:

Processor : Intel core i5 2.4 ghz RAM : 4 GB Machine : HP Pavillion g6

I have made a separate partition for both the Operating system and both operating systems are running all the applications normally.

After installing Ubuntu 11.10 on a pc which already has Windows 7 I get this error:

error: invalid arch independent ELF magic. grub rescue>

So I used Supergrub boot disk to get into Ubuntu. And made sure that grub-efi-amd64 package is present, and I ran sudo grub-install /dev/sda command. That also led to the same error. Then I tried the solution given here and here.

I've just tried to install ubuntu 12.04 dual boot OS with Windows 7 and it finished installing in ubuntu. However, it said that the bootloader "grub.." failed to install. The same exact problem here I receive the error 'grub-install /dev/sda failed' while attempting to install Ubuntu as the computer's only OS. .

How can I use AWK in the following situation?

I had installed win7 in C drive and then I installed ubuntu using install inside windows feature in another drive.

For some reason my windows got corrupt, still ubuntu worked fine. Over the years, I had forgotten that I had installed ubuntu inside windows and I formatted c drive and installed a fresh copy of win7.
