It's hard to sumamrise this into a title, but it's simple.
On the Acer Aspire One, there's a button on the bottom to turn on and off the wireless card. In Ubuntu, it does work, but is sporadic and difficult, so I leave it alone.
Instead, I cilck on the wireless icon at the top and disable it.

I'm having problems getting my wireless card to work on my netbook after installing Ubuntu netbook. I'm using a HP Mini1000 with a broadcom bcm4312.
I've followed the directions on this page for those without internet access: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...ernet%20access
I successfully install everything, but when I go to the hardware drivers, the drivers do not actually appear.

Hello All,
I've just installed the x64 Desktop edition of 12.04 on my Acer Aspire V3 571G. The wireless does connect, though it can take a while. The problem is the wireless only stays connected for 45 minutes max. before it drops out, and then it continually 'reconnects' (never actually connecting to the network) until I either switch between a few networks or turn wireless off and on again.
Hidden wireless WPA security
Precise network manager 0.9.4.1-0ubuntu2
works fine on my Acer Aspire 1 netbook and this Ascer Aspire 5253 widescreen notebook
Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43225 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
The Aspire 1 netbook with a lot of fuss I can connect with QQ rarely connects automatically instead Disconnects automatically.
The netbook will connect manyuall
Just bought an acer aspire one AO751h two weeks ago.
Removed Vista and installed 9.04 immediately.
Worked great.
Wireless was automatic.
Now, no wireless.
Tried on four different wifi's.
The error says there is not wireless signal.
I did nothing as far as the wireless network is concerned.
I did add programs via Synaptic.
I am severe wireless problems with Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop.(Spec below)
I have just performed the first clean install since new. Installed a new Hard Drive as well. The machine and wifi was fine under Ubuntu 9.04.
It is booting much faster now but the wifi keeps dropping off.
Any assistance in resolving this would be appreciated as I use this machine for work.
So I recently installed Ubuntu on my Acer Aspire V3-551 laptop. I have an Atheros AR5BWB222 wireless adapter.
Everything works fine except for the wireless. I can sometimes connect to the wireless, but most of the time it will be making an attempt to connect and then enver connect.
