Our client in different country provided us a VPN connection which we connect through Sonicwall net-extender.
I spent several hours getting a VNC connection to vino on a fresh install of f17. I set Desktop Sharing Preferences on f17, but could not connect from tightVNC on Windows 7.

I see that remote desktop is no longer used on OpenSUSE 11.2. So I am trying to use VNC. I have tightvnc on a windows machine as well.

Hi,
The host machine is Ubuntu 64bit, latest release.
Windows 2008 R2 running on VMWARE, workstation 7.0.
I have LTSP clients running Fedora 10, which are connecting to the Windows 2008 R2, using Remote Desktop Connection.
Only one application I have problem seeing the mouse, since its white on white.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.
When I enable Remote Desktop and connect via TightVNC I can't see any windows on the VNC screen - I just see what looks like a default desktop, not the customised desktop on the console.
Hello,
I've noticed that after updating opensuse to 11.2 from 11.1 vino is slighly different by its layout. Is there big changes in vino?
I followed the instructions here (http://www.abdevelopment.ca/blog/sta...er-ubuntu-boot) but it did not work: I have Windows Seven trying to use TightVNC to connect to Lucid Lynx. Are there better instructions anywhere on how to do this? All I get is the message: Failed to connect to server. I have turned off the the Router Firewall.
Thanks
