[ubuntu] Turning off display on MacBook

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, with the intent of using my MacBook as a server (since I have a superior laptop to work with), I installed Ubuntu on it. The only thing I really want is an sshd (8) that starts on boot and that's it. If I do that, the display is always on full brightness (even with the lid closed). So, I had to install X + lightdm to make it possible to dim the display to complete darkness (and in turn have that ghastly, huge Apple logo at the back of the lid turn off as well). Is there a solution to this problem? I'd be entirely OK with erasing or disabling all the display drivers or modules in t (Hardware)
