I upgraded my Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 and my Wifi has stopped working. I have a Lenovo Z560 that has Intel centrino wireless-N 1000. I have searched various threads having similar problems for a solution and have no success. The wlan0 is not even showing up in rfkill.
Please help me find a solution.
I am giving below the output of various debug commands.
I just got my Netgear USB wireless adapter working and my internet speeds are excellent, but for some reason it takes 2-3 minutes just for the adapter to make the connection to my wireless network.
Below is the output from a wireless troubleshooting script that I ran:

Hello,
I installed Ubuntu recently and I can't make my wireless connection at home to work. With WINDOWS 7 it works. Also, the cable connection work fine in Ubuntu but I can't keep my laptop in the dining room all the time. So I need to make the wireless work. Here are some information I collected. Thank you for your help.

I installed Ubuntu 9.10 last night on my laptop. This is my first time with Ubuntu. Everything seems great except that when I push the button on the laptop to enable the wireless connection it just flashes, it never turns on all the way. This is the same behavior I get in windows before the driver is installed. I've looked around, but I can't see how to install a driver for it.
I believe I have been successful in installing my Windows XP driver under ndiswrapper, however, I cannot seem to bring my wireless interface up.
My laptop is: Dell Latitude D600
