Hi All,
I currently have a working triple-boot setup on my 320Gb Asus u80a laptop (XP,7,ubuntu). I initially used gparted to do all my partioning. I created a 10GB partition for XP, a 20GB for Win7 and about 120GB for Ubuntu, 4gb swap and the rest is still unallocated. My ubuntu partition (which I use regularly) is functioning perfectly.
I run on an intel core 2 duo late 2009 imac 21.5"
I have rEFIt installed which changes boot camp (efi or w.e) to show a triple os boot, mac, windows, and linux.
I want to install to my WD Elements 2TB external HDD but it never works, i've been through some techniques in the installation to get it to work.
So..
I am planning on having a triple boot setup on my laptop with Windows 7 (soon 8), Ubuntu, and Backtrack. I have read up on setting up dual and triple boot systems, and it seems like some operating systems like to replace the existing GRUB with their own bootloader. Both Backtrack and Ubuntu use GRUB for multi-boot installations. Does it matter what order I install them in?
At Present i ve Windows 8 & Windows Server 2008.
Hi guys,
Need help with the partitions to install ubuntu 12.
I bought Acer aspire 5755G UK model recently with windows 7 having two partitions where the first partition contains windows files and second partition was for data. From there I straight away install Mac OS X Lion install on second (data) partition. As I am able to do dual boot without any problems with both the operating systems.
I have Windows 7 and 8 installed on different HDDs and am using Windows 7 boot loader.
I have made a new partition on the same HDD as Windows 7 for installing Ubuntu.
Is it possible to triple boot with Ubuntu using the Windows 7 boot loader, and how would I go about doing this?
I see during the Ubuntu installation there is an option for selecting your partition, but I am confused to the other op
Now that I've determined that it would be best to go ahead and do a fresh install of Fedora 16, I've decided I'm going to try a triple boot, like I have been wanting to do for a while now. I've done a dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu before.
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a single disc which already had Windows 7 x64 on it. Windows was on two primary partitions, a very large partition C: and a small 100 mb partition. I've been using this computer for the past year with no problems.
During the installation of Ubuntu, I made four partitions: 1) /boot, 2)/(root), 3)/home and 4) SWAP.
I have triple booted Windows XP (195 GB)partition 0?
