Not sure when something changed to cause this. Deluge used to work just swimmingly for me.I'm not getting any errors from the program itself although I'll post the console output that might shed light. Basically though I have no data transmission for torrents.
I have set the rules in ufw for Transmission but when I try to use it it will not transfer and it also says the port is closed when checked under preferences.
If I turn the UFW firewall off it still says that the port is closed but it transfers fine. I then can turn the UFW back on and it continues to work.
I'm using the latest version of Ubuntu and Transmission.
According to Transmission, the file I am downloading has 0 peers and is idle, even though there are a few peers seeding it.
Here's a batch of error messages from Transmission's log:
> Could not connect to tracker.

To re-download, remove the torrent and re-add it"For every torrent.I think it may have something to do with the download and temp directory for transmission being on a second HDD.
Transmission says my port is closed. If I google the problem, it just gives me advice on how to open a port in Windows OS. There's no firewall in Ubuntu 10.10 by default, right? There isn't any router used neither. I'm living in a dorm. I just plug the LAN cable in the box fixed to the wall. Hope you guys can help me out.
Cheers
Thanks all for your input.Well, the last couple of days some torrents have been uploading, so it's working, even though very slow (downloads are fast). I guess it's just that not so many people want the stuff I have...
Well I have a problem with Deluge. Every time I add a new torrent it just won't download. I can see the list of peers but it does not download anything. I'm still uploading old torrents so it's not a connectivity thing.
