The specs are: Processor: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.65 GHz (dual core) Installed memorory: 4Gb System type: 64 bit OS Display adaptor: AMD Radeon HD 6320 Have used the Ubuntu Live CD to successfully run and install Ubuntu on my older Toshiba Equium with zero problems, so I am assuming there is a hardware conflict to do with my new machine. I have tried checking all the boot options on the Ubuntu Live CD to fix the problem, but I am still faced w (Hardware)

I am a brand-new Ubuntu user: over the weekend I inherited a Toshiba Satellite from a family member, quickly grew tired of the installed Vista, and installed Ubuntu 12.10. I love using the OS, but there are a couple of issues with my display that have me scratching my head.

So I have an old Toshiba Satellite laptop from 1999-2000 that I ran a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 on. Everything seems to run fine from the Live CD, and the install process went without a hitch. However, after rebooting after the install, I get the error message:

NTLDR is missing Press any key to restart

I tried the boot-repair-disk LiveCD, and had no luck there.

I recently got a new computer. When I try the Ubuntu live cd, my computer would boot on the live cd. First I get a blank purple screen and then my monitor goes into power save mode. And after that nothing. I do have Windows 7 on it right now. So I was wondering if there was a way I could dual-boot with Windows.

I am using Toshiba Satellite L645 with Ubuntu 12.10 installed in it. Bluetooth icon does not show up on the top task bar. When i try to switch it on from System Settings, the buttons don't work.

Ubuntu on Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23 I am new to Ubuntu and was given a Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23 that I was hoping to use Ubuntu on. I installed 10.10 but wifi, the integrated intel graphics, and the SD card reader don't seem to work.

First I need to get wifi working; from looking around the forums I tried booting from a livecd, but no wifi card seen.
