On my desktop, I've got an IBM model M keyboard with a trackpoint built into it (attached via the PS2 mouse port). I also have a wireless USB mouse. My problem is that the mouse settings required for each are different.
Hi All!
I am new to Ubuntu and first of all let me start of by saying I love it! Much better than Windows 7 and I like it as much as I do OS X (it seems Ubuntu borrowed a lot of ideas from OS X).
Anyway... here is the issue.. my mouse pointer moves WAY too fast.
I went into System Settings and then to Mouse And Touchpad to see if I could change the settings.
I want to lower mouse sensitivity in gnome3 desktop, but when I open appropriate settings panel I see that settings are at already lowest setting:
Is there any way to fix it?
I'm hoping somebody will have tried this before !
I would like to use a script that changes the mouse sensitivity settings, the reason being that mouse sensitivity settings required for a USB mouse are quite different from those required for the touchpad on my laptop (Dell Inspirion 1525 if anybody cares)
Just set up a Win7 Pro/Xubuntu 9.10 dual boot on my new home-built PC and I'm having issues with my mouse sensitivity. I like a pretty low sensitivity. I know it sounds weird, but I like to have 7-8 inches of throw in any direction. I do a lot of gaming under Windows with really low sensitivity and I've gotten used to it over the years.
In my crunchbang installation with X11, openbox, my wireless usb mouse is listed at both /dev/psaux and /dev/input/mouse0. It's working fine apart from the scrollwheel, which although active, is far too sensitive.
I'm thinking maybe the kernel is raising double the scroll events that it should be? Not sure what to check out even if this is the case?
Yes, I adjusted the mouse preferences first. The sensitivity is all the way down. I don't feel that did anything.
Hello, I'm on a Lenovo Thinkpad. My mouse is way too jittery. For example, if I just place my finger on my trackpad without moving it, the mouse will wiggle around quite a bit on the screen.
I have Razer DeathAdder(left handed edition) and A4Tech wireless mouse. My problem is I don't know how to change wireless mouse keymapping(swaping left/right click).
Hello, so I was trying to configure my mouse settings in Ubuntu 12.04 with my Microsoft Notebook Laser Mouse 7000. The mouse works fine but I really do not like the acceleration.
However, whenever I turn off acceleration, the mouse moves at an incredibly low speed. The two setting called acceleration and sensitivity do not seem to do anything.
