Hi all,
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and I am getting lock ups after logging in usually within a minute at the desktop. Mousing around through the menus is enough to make it lock up. The system is totally frozen and I can't do anything but hard reboot.
Brand new PC with Intel z77 chipset, I am trying to install ubuntu 11.10(64bit) on it. After boot up from CD I am able to see first screen with keyboard then video freezes some random screen is appeared which is not related to installation steps. Obviously my expected screen is "Try Ubuntu/Install" but not happening.
My question is Ubuntu 11.10 supports Intel z77 chipset or not?
I am trying to get a media center set up with a Via Epia-pd mini-ITX motherboard (Via C3 Processor).
In ubuntu 10.04, when I play video (.avi) it runs for about 5 minutes then freezes - no mouse movement. While the video is playing the cpu is running 100%. The case gets incredibly hot as well.
I need help , Im new in Ubuntu and i like the operation system but i have a error , I have mobile 4 r intel express chipset family but ubuntu cant read this video card . I want play 3d games like i did in same computer with windows 7 ultimate . I need the drivers or some solution to this work. Just said in video card Unknown . Thank i hope help me soon.
On my System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) notebook PC, I tried Ubuntu 12.04.1 64 bit LTS Precise Pangolin and Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit Quantal Quetzal and I have to say that Precise Pangolin was much better. It's a lot more stable and reliable. I have no problems with Linux kernel 3.2.0-34-generic whatsoever.
Good day!
I recently bought an Intel d2700dc motherboard, but i quickly realised that there are no video drivers for the internal graphic hardware (Intel GMA 3650).
So now I am looking around for a new Mini-ITX board.
Requirements:
HDMI-output
Able to play 1080p video
Positive but not required:
Fanless
Integrated power supply
Anybody got any suggestion? :)
Recently I installed Arch linux and Kde for the WM.
I am currently using "KDE Platform Version 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1)"
The desktop effects "composting" works but everytime I make a small change to any of the settings the screen freezes for an idefinite amount of time!
Hey guys, im completely new to linux, and have found myself a little stumped on getting it to recognize all of my hardware. The computer I have Ubuntu 9.0.4 installed on a desktop with the intel 945GC chipset. I really dont think its recognizing, or otherwise using, the integrated gpu at all (intel GMA 950 onboard video). How can I test to see if it is recognized?
Hello. I have a Gateway PC with a 2GHZ processor and 1.25GB of RAM and a 30GB hard drive. My video driver is an onboard Intel driver 82845G/GL chipset.
I've tried Ubuntu and Debian, but have had issues with both. The culprit in both cases, I think, is the Intel video driver.
