I suspend my laptop (pm-suspend) often and sometimes my desktop (pm-suspend-hybrid) fairly often. I am using the latest ubuntu (13.10, saucy).
Is there a way I could run a command when I go into suspend or immediately after coming out of suspend? I'd like to kill any open output ssh connections and stop offlineimap, since the timeout for those tends to be annoying. Ideas?
Woohoo! I finally have started the switch to Ubuntu (I built my own PC). However, whenever I Hibernate or Suspend (I know that Linux sometimes has trouble in these areas), my wireless internet doesn't work. Everything else does, but it won't let me make a connection, even after I wait a few minutes (which makes me think it's my wireless card).
Ubuntu is working very well on this laptop with the exception of the suspend function. The laptop will suspend and come out of suspend without a problem if it does not sleep too long. When I leave the laptop in suspend overnight however, the laptop light will blink like it was in suspend but will not wakeup pressing keys or by pressing the power button lightly.
