I currently have a Toshiba laptop and have had nothing but problems with it's ability to connect and stay connected to my wireless network at home. I dual boot on it and under Windows 7 it works flawlessly so it is a problem with Ubuntu. It worked great until I went from 11.xx to 12.xx and 13.xx.
Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot
HP Pavilion dv7t
This independent report outlines many new issues Ubuntu 11.10 introduces that Ubuntu 10.10 and even Ubuntu 11.04 did not have. My poor HP Pavilion dv7 laptop computer is suffering. My 2006 Toshiba Satellite laptop computer performs better.
I'm completely new to Ubuntu and Linux style operating systems. I just installed it today, and so far it's working great, except that I have no sound. :( I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 on a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4201 laptop. Not sure how to go about fixing this, can anyone possibly help me out? Thanks!
I just complete a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 on my Toshiba Qosmio F50-138.
I'm experiencing some trouble with the audio : My laptop has a built-in little sub-woofer that makes the global sound quite good.
In Ubuntu, I can't get to make this sub-woofer work.
