I'm going to install ubuntu 13.04 soon and I was just wondering if there are any special steps I need to follow? I already have ubuntu 12.10 installed on one partition.

I had installed ubuntu in Win OS under different partition (E:) and then formatted my windows (C:), now I am not able to see the ubuntu partition (E:) and not getting the option of ubuntu OS whn PC boots up.
Kindly assist me to recover my partition (E:) and give me the steps as in what is to be done before installing the ubuntu so that it can be recovered easily next time.

I am trying to install Ubuntu on my windows system. This is the first time I am installing any Linux version. So please pardon my naivety.
I searched for steps to install and I found this 2 page tutorial.
I just installed Ubuntu following certain steps that I could see in forums like this. I installed putting on disabled the option secure boot from Window's Bios.
I did other steps to try to fix it but I couldn't.
If anyone knows how to fix that problem, I would thank so much.
I'm totally inspired by the UBUNTU simple interface but the beginners like me usually get away because I cannot understand how to partition the hard drive at the starting of the Ubuntu Installation.. Please elaborate that for 13.10 Ubuntu..
