I'm using Ubuntu 12.10, and I'm not getting any sound from my Toshiba Satellite P100's internal speakers. I have an Intel NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller, and it's recognized by the system when I type lspci -v | grep -A7 -i "audio" into the CLI. My sound card is also listed in the Ubuntu sound card matrix, so it should be supported.
If anyone has any idea what to do to fix these problems, please let me know.
Touchpad not responsive. I have a USB mouse, so it isn't a huge problem, but I'd still like to use my touchpad.
No driver for video card.
Sound card not recognized. Under the sound system menu, there is no audio output/input listed.
I have seen similar problems on this site and on others, and I have tried all sorts of solutions posted, but so far non have worked. I have a Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061 that came with Windows XP. I want to learn Linux so I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and the sound isn't not working correctly. It worked fine on Windows XP beforehand.
Hello everyone, I recently got a toshiba satellite c855d-s5105, and while after turning off UEFI and secureboot worked and Lubuntu installed I've found that there is no sound. I believe the built in sound card is a realtek ALC2269VB. Are there any fixes that could get the sound to work? Sorry, and thanks in advance.
Hi,
I'm completely new to Ubuntu and Linux style operating systems. I just installed it today, and so far it's working great, except that I have no sound. :( I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 on a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4201 laptop. Not sure how to go about fixing this, can anyone possibly help me out? Thanks!

Hi,
I use Natty on a Toshiba Satellite L505-10N.
I have two problems that may or not be related.
The first one is overheating of the computer, even with no activity. The fan is running. As I saw on many topics, that problem might be due to dust in the fan. The computer is over 1 year old and used everyday.
The second problem comes after from 10 minutes to 1 hour.
I had installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my girlfriend's new laptop recently, it's a Toshiba Satellite L745-S4210 And at first things were perfect. Her Skype worked and the sound. But now, for some reason when she goes on Skype, her mic is not being recognized. So she can hear other people, but they cannot hear her when she talks. Also, the sound coming out of the speakers is now abnormally poor quality.
Hi all,
Sorry another problem.
I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Toshiba Satellite P200 laptop, and the sound won't work at all. I've been through all the trouble shooting process but still no sound.
I installed additional drivers package and still no sound
Can you please help me, the hardware is a ATI/AMD Propietary FGLRX graphics driver.
Kind regards
Kay
I was hoping someone might be able to help my no sound problem.
