i have a "generous" wireless mouse, it was working perfectly on windows, but not on Ubuntu, it doesn't work at all. i changed it's Usb thingy into different Usb ports, but still it didn't work, it is not even listed as things that are on Usb ports, what should i do to make it work?
Currently, I have a network setup that kind of duct-taped together.

I have an ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2 motherboard, the usb ports of which are all USB 2.0. I realised that my wireless USB card was working and connecting much faster connected to the front panel USB ports.
I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop I use as a media server/video capture system. It only has 2 USB ports and I have a total of 3 devices I need to connect. The DVC101 works perfectly while plugged directly into the USB port in back of the laptop. Unfortunately it does not get recognized when plugged into a passive or powered USB hub.
((Yes. this is another wireless mouse-thread. I see several threads on issues with wireless mice, but when it comes to RF (Radio) mice it's mostly on glitches and tweaks. I only see threads on BT not working at all. So, this is one about a non-BT mouse that is not working at all.))
