Can some one help me to bridge between empathy and skype? I followed every post from here and google. But it's not working. There is no option for skype in gnome-account.
I have installed pidgin-skype and telepathy-haze. Also I am using skype 4.2. I revert back from 4.3 to 4.2. Linux skype is a crap. I want to use skype using other messenger UI. I also tried wine but no luck.
Ive got ubuntu precise pangolin and i feel like in heaven. :p
Ive observed a problem with Skype (Multiple versions including the latest one 126.96.36.199 ) on ubuntu. Audio / Video / Text / chat works smoothly and almost flawlessly. But the problem is I'm unable to send files while using Skype through Ubuntu.
I was wondering if there was any way to obtain a new version of Skype and not use the old one which you can receive from the Skype website.
I understand there may be ways with wine and if somebody could help me out with getting it through wine that would be great, although it would be preferable if no complex commands and steps were needed.
I have a lot of history in Skype v 4.2, but now it is deprecated cause of "cloud" conversations in new Skype versions. Now I installed Skype 188.8.131.52-1 on Ubuntu 14.04 (and my co-worker on his Debian 7) and I wondered I loss all history before 20th may 2014. How can I to integrate old history (I backuped ~/.Skype folder) to new Skype?
