[ubuntu] SiPix pocket Printer setup

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have purchased a Sipix portable Printer, as of now I have been unable to connect to it. My laptop has Infrared and I had purchased a usb to Serial adapter. Does anyone know how to connect to an infared printer? If I could use IR that would be great. I'm facing a problem to make my aunt's HP Officejet J3680 to work on Ubuntu. The version installed is 9.04 and I can't say if it's the 32 or 64 bit version at this moment. If I remember well, when I installed this Ubuntu the printer was working, but it stopped some time later. I don't know, either, if it was after any update.

My HL-2140 printer doesn't show up in lsusb when I turn it on. What could be the problem?

I have a printer 'Epson Stylus Sx115' plugged into my usb port.

It is detected because it is listed in lsusb

I have wireless keyboard Logitech cordless desktop EX110. Mouse sometimes stops working (sometimes after a few hours working and sometimes after 10 minutes working). I get it back to life by unplugging it from the computer case and then plug it.

Is there a way to do it via console? Maybe by restarting the usb port.
