I can't turn on my bluetooth?
Hi, I searched the forums and the net but haven't really gotten a conclusive answer about tethering via Bluetooth between my Samsung Galaxy S4 and Nexus 7 (2nd Gen). So I'll give you the details as much as my personal troubleshooting goes. Both devices pair just fine and are able to communicate (because file sharing works).
I have an laptop with OS Ubuntu 12.04. I am using an internet dongle(data card) for internet connection. I just purchased a new android phone(HTC ONE V). I want to share my internet connection of laptop with my android phone.
I am Sudipta, using Sony Vaio laptop and I have installed Ubuntu 12.04. My bluetooth is not working. Neither it can search any device nor the opposite. I generally use bluetooth modem
(mobile phone) for Internet in home but unable to do this.
I am having some issues with my wireless connection. I recently upgraded to Karmic Koala, and everything still worked just fine - I had reliable wireless from both Ubuntu and Xubuntu. I don't use Kubuntu as much, usually just as a change of pace if I am just goofing off and not working - checking email, playing a little game, maybe writing a letter or something.
I have a liveusb running Fedora 11 on my hp laptop. I would like to use my T-Mobile Dash 3G unlimited data connection. I have seen many posts regarding wvdial, modem scripts, etc that are going a little over my head. I was able to connect my phone to the laptop, but when I tried to initiate internet sharing on the phone via Bluetooth PAN, nothing happened on the computer.
The adapter in question is a Broadcom BCM4312 and carries both the wifi and bluetooth chips. The machine is a HP Mini 311. After the Karmic install my bluetooth adapter seemed to work, but only until I downloaded and installed the correct wifi drivers using the hardware drivers gui.Has anyone had any success getting both to function?
