I have several Ubuntu 12.04.2 64bit server VMs running under XenServer 6.1.
Whenever they are left for ~30 mins with no traffic over ipv6, the network becomes unavailable, requiring the restart of the networking service to bring it back up.
hi guys, I have a problem about ipv6 on F17. My network support ipv6. I add
Code:
NETWORKING_IPV6=yes
to /etc/sysconfig/network. I use Network-Manager to access network.
After I connect the system to network, I can go to ipv6 sites and use transmission to download via ipv6.
I've been really frustrated by how little I've found on KVM setup, especially without virt-manager and virt-viewer. I can get the guest up and running, and I've seen the documentation on the ubuntu site, but I still can't figure out how to
a) configure the virtual network to be, say, 192.168.1.0/24
Hi I would install an openldap server in ipv6
it worked perfectly in ipv4 network
but when i changed the host address in ldap.conf to ipv6 address in the server and client host
client can't find ldap users
root@server:/etc/phpldapadmin# su dell -l
Unknown id: dell
The two machines pings
who can help me to set up openldap in ipv6
I wonder if I can communicate via IPv6. I know this depends on the ISP. Is there any simple way how to deterimne if my ISP provides IPv6 connection or at least if my router provides this functionality?
If there is not such possibility to use "real" IPv6, what is the best way to simulate it on Ubuntu?
I'm running a Fedora 17 desktop system that I've decided to put an OEL 6 virtual machine on. I built the VM first with virtual network NAT the default but discovered that only the host could communicate with it. After reading the available documentation (which I probably should have done first) I found that I needed to use a bridged network on the host so the VM would be available on my LAN.
I am looking to configure a few hosts with IPv6 on my network. The router (running CentOS 5) is configured with an Hurricane Electric (HE) tunnel which works fine on that host.
However, I would like to statically add a few additional hosts on the same LAN to have IPv6 through this tunnel.
Is Ubuntu 9.10 fully IPv6 ready? I notice that command line tools like ping and ssh are treating IPv6 addresses, both with and without the [] characters, as hostnames to be looked up via DNS. Is something else needed to enable IPv6, like special IPv6 versions of packages?
I'm trying to create a virtual IPv6 network as a test environment.
I have 5 VirtualBox VMs (Ubuntu Server) with network adapters using host-only networking.
