[ubuntu] Selecting a wireless card/dongle

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi all, I am running 10.04 on a few machines here. What I would like to do is to purchase a few USB wireless dongles (preferbly a usb dongle, but wireless card is ok too if I can't get a dongle). So, here's my problem, as best as I can describe it:

I need to get the wireless working on this HP dv9005us, I ran lspci and it says the card is "Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 1)" and so far I've tried the method that says "Installing drivers for the BCM4311,4312,4321,4322 Cards" on this page and in hardware drivers it says

im trying to configure ndiswrapper to recognize my wifi adapter, dreaded broadcom 4311. i tried using this guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...eisty_No-Fluff but got stuck at step 3 before realizing the guide was a year old and probably wouldn't help.

I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognise any bluetooth device, including my Wiimote and cell phone. I have a USB Bluetooth dongle that appears to be working. When I plug it in, I get the bluetooth symbol in my device tray.
