Hey guys me again for more info I've been reading the internet on security on Linux, Windows, firewalls, etc etc and All I really do is browse the net download a couple of songs and movies but more mostly browse the web and I do my banking I use to use chrome but now I'm using firefox.
I downloaded the 32-bit install of Google Chrome from Google's website (.deb) and installed first using the Software Centre. Install was fine. I went to run Chrome from the dash and it did not start and Ubuntu gave an error (which I opted to report and ignore future errors).
I am an Ubuntu 14.04.1 64-bit user who prefers Google Chrome as the default browser. I installed Java on my system and got it work with Mozilla Firefox; however, Google Chrome(Version 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit)) refuses to work with the same Java package although I linked the libraries.
I have been using Google Chrome with Hardware acceleration with no problem and very good results on my Xubuntu 14.04 Dell Latitude E6440 with Radeon GPU. Lately, (probably due to some "System Update" that I do regularly as recommended by Ubuntu) Google-Chrome have stopped working. I start it. I get the browser and after 5 seconds the whole system crashes !!!
