[ubuntu] Scanned PDF scrambled

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi! I have a Canon Pixma MP560 which has been working perfectly until last week. The printing is ok, but there has come a scanner problem. The result is the same in SimpleScan and XSane - the scanned document shows a randomly placed grayish fields,(the original on the attatchemt is a white paper with no shades) see the attachment. If I scan to a USB inserted in the printer, the result is fine, so the problem is not in the printer. I connect to the printer wireles and uses Ubuntu 11.04 - I hope sombody out there can help me find out what is wrong! I have an Asus N73J Here is the attatchment: h (Hardware)

I'm using a Canon PIXMA MP250, and I'm running 12.04 LTS. The printer's been working fine for the couple of months I've been a Linux user. That is, until today.

I just printed a 1-page ODT document from LibreOffice.

I have a Canon Pixma MP150. It's old but it still works well. The problem is that since I have been running Ubuntu the printer exhibits odd behavoir. Usually right at the end of a job, it will stop. The printing is done, but the printer is still "working" and it won't release the paper.

I have a multifunction printer PIXMA MG2250 from which I successfully processed printer tasks, thanks to this forum, but still the scan is not recognized, not even detected by scangearmp even if I have installed some mp drivers of the MGseries range; Would somebody have an idea to fix this problem?

hey guys i ran into a small problem i downloaded the proper print and scan drivers for my printer and installed them using terminal i can now scan documents by typing scangearmp into the terminal and i can print too.

the problem is that when i print a document my printer will keep the printing the same document over and over again it seems like there is a never ending print job going on any ideas

I would like some guidance on printing from Ubuntu 12.10 on a Windows 7 printer.

I have a VAIO laptop with a dual boot setup of Ubuntu/Windows 7. My original printer (Canon PIXMA MP760) was no problem but that unit decided to give up on me today and I now have an EPSON XP-300.

This unit works fine with Win 7 but there does not seem to be a driver available for Linux.

Hello, I have an HP c3180 printer scanner copier.

Toshiba Laptop L350-S5933, Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 @2.16 GHz, Ram 3.o GB, ACPI x86 32 bit OpSys, Canon MP560, Dual Boot installed Karmic (Vista other OS), Canon is logged into wireless network using Actiontec.

Ubuntu shows the printer as the default printer. Listed as Make & Model: Canon Pixma MP500 - cups+ Gutenprint v5.4

I have a canon pixma mg5300 series printer/scanner. I am able to print with it, after I successfully added the driver (if I remember correctly, I had to install it from the constructor, though I'm not sure, it was quite some time ago). However, I don't know how to use the scanner. I tried typing 'scan' in the dash, and a application named 'simple scan' appeared.
