I have this printer installed and working along with the scanner, my only complaint is that there are virtually no controls over the printer settings, which is very frustrating If you don't want to waste ink. As of right now i have to use VMware and windows to print in a lower quality. CUPS and (it would seem to me) the driver do not allow you to change the settings.
I just noticed that since using Ubuntu 12.04(.01) or since some update (can't tell it for sure) I cannot print from Firefox to my network printer (Samsung CLX-3175FN) any more.

I recently got a Canon MF3010 laser printer and am unable to print after installing the drivers. I'm on Ubuntu 12.10, 64bit.
I followed the below post but am not able to print a test page.

After trying to print a test page, the Printer State in the Printer dialog says "Idle - Sending data to printer." Any idea?
I have a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.01
I download and installed the Canon drivers from the Canon website:
UFR II Printer Driver for Linux Version 2.50
I used the procedure at this location:

When I print documents, I see them show up in the print queue.
Ok. So if I wanted a tablet that forced me to buy all products from the same manufacturer, I would have bought an Apple. Instead I bought a Samsung and assumed since it was an android device that I would be able to print from any printer connected to my WiFi network. Apparently Samsung is almost as dumb as apple because I can only print from a Samsung printer? Seriously?
can't get the Samsung CLP-620ND printer that is on my local network to work. Using "system settings" app, it always installs as if it is a local printer, even though I selected "network printer." Also, when I tried to specify the URL address of the printer, Fedora still thought it was hooked to the local machine. Bah.
Has anyone gotten it to work?
