Hello ubuntu community! If I could please get some help, I made the switch to linux last week and I am really enjoying it so far but I have a problem my novice mind cannot remedy.
I am trying to play a steam game (DoD:S and CS:S) using PlayOnLinux and the game starts up just fine but as soon as I join a server I am missing text and my mouse is unresponsive other than the left button.
Ok here is the deal. I have been running this video card fine on Vista and Windows 7 flawlessly. The reason I say this is so that you don't think the card is damaged or that the rest of my computer could not handle it.
This simple tutorial will explain how to install Windows Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 on Ubuntu using PlayOnLinux.

PlayOnLinux is a front-end for wine. It can be installed via Ubuntu Software Center.

I'm not really sure what that mea
I have dual-boot Windows XP and Ubuntu partitions.
I have a game that I played in Windows. Previously, I could also play this game in Ubuntu. I simply highlighted the game in Nautilus, and opened the game in Wine.
After a re-install, followed by the recovery of some files, the game cannot now be launched in Nautilus.
PlayOnLinux installs the applications in separate virtual drives. Each virtual drive represents a different windows machine. I have configured PlayOnLinux on my laptop and installed several programs in it.
These programs go in the hidden .PlayOnLinux directory in home.
My .PlayOnLinux directory is about 12 GB in size.
