I have Ubuntu 12.04 and want to setup a M-Audio Axiom 49.
I have tried to read up on jackd1 / jackdmp /jackd2 / qjackctl and whatnot, but havent gotten any sound from the keyboard yet.
A long time ago i managed to get sound from it using rosegarden and qjackctl, but not anymore.
I have timidity installed and can play midi audio with it.
In rosegarden there are no available midi input devices w
In the past (before Crunchbang used Pulseaudio) I had managed to plug my Midi keyboard into USB, and use qsynth and rosegarden to just play piano (not even record). More recently I can't for the life of me get the soundfonts loaded into qsynth to appear in rosegarden. I'm sure it's settings related but I'm a little out of my league. If anyone has accomplished
I have an intel duo core mb with intel on board sound and an ati 4350 video card - which fc12 considers another audio card.
Check System -> Preferences -> Sound -> Sound Prefereences output tab to
be sure the correct output device is selected. It changed randomly with the last yum kernel update.
I've just installed rosegarden and when it starts up OK, but when I select the open file icon it brings up the file selector window for a split second then crashes the whole OS, causing it to reboot.
I've never know any program to actually crash Ubuntu!
I can rosegarden for the command line and redirected stderr to a file to log any errors.
Hello,
This was kind of hard, so I'm just sharing in case it's of any use for anyone else.
How to install:
This part is easy: Just open a terminal and under superuser, type:
yum install mscore
But there was a problem:
After installing MuseScore you had no sound...
Hello,
im quite a new user to ubuntu and I have some problems that I'd appreciate any help for.
I'm trying to make audio work in rosegarden, and therefor installed jackd and qjackctll. That however does of course not just work on its own!
Yesterday I ran an update on my Acer Aspire One, which I operate under Fedora11.
Umongst the updates was also an update for Qjackctl and the jack audio connection kit.
I downloaded Rose-garden just to see if I could get it to work different. I have qsynth and qjack. So I was just going to see if I could wire it differently.
At first it did not work but then I connected it midi to Rosegarden and output to qsynth. It worked without latency and with only one error.
I installed the new Ubuntustudio 12.04 using my UA-25ex as main interface on qjackctl with 44100/512frames/2buffer.
I just got the automated - update.
While I'm inserting some notes on rosegarden staff and listening to them with qsynth (/usr/share/sounds/sf2/FluidR3_GM.sf2 142MB).
I see an xrun every five minutes.
I did the changes that the realTimeConfigQuickScan.pl suggests(https://code.go
