I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and I noticed that my right ¨touchpad click¨ isn´t working at all. My touchpad is working fine 2 finger scrolling also works but right click doesn´t work. The tochpad worked fine under windows 7. The touchpad has a physical click, but I dont now if it knows the difference between left and right click. Is there some kind of solution for this problem?
I recently installed Fedora 13 on my hp 6730b laptop alongside Windows 7 on an extended partition. Everything's working fine but I can't click using the synaptic touchpad. The cursor is moving around fine using the touchpad but to click I need to use the left button.
Running Ubuntu 11.10, 32 bit on a vista-era sony vaio.
Besides all of the crappy graphics and web cam issues I had to solve, the laptop worked great. But for the last week, the touchpad either:
1. does not work
2. dies suddenly and doesn't let me move around without a usb mouse.
3 (most common/annoying).
I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 beta 1 from 12.04 LTS and found out that right click from touchpad is not working. I can left click icons and right-click menu appears but cannot right click items.
Please let me know any solutions.
Just bought an Acer AO756 laptop and I am dual booting Ubuntu 12.04 and Win 7. The only problem that I am having with the laptop is right click. There aren't any right and left click buttons, you click by pressing the touchpad on the right or left corner and the entire touchpad moves.
I can tap to left click and two finger tap to right click but that doesn't work very well.
My laptop is an Asus Zenbook Prime ux31a.
I have a very weird issue with click and drag on my touchpad. I can click and drag, but after I move the mouse just a few centimetres, it releases. Any ideas?
hi there!
I had Ubuntu 10.10 and I updated it to 11.04.
Now touchpad isn't working :(
it works well on log in screen and I can click on my username and move it but when I click log in it freezes and can't move mouse using it or click left or right button.
can you please help me?
I'm using Acer aspire 5542g and 64-bit Ubuntu 11.04.
thanks and sorry if thread like this already exists
Pardon the horrendous title, I'm not exactly sure how to summarize the issue I'm having. Basically, I have synaptics, and I right-click by tapping two fingers on the touchpad because my touchpad doesn't have any buttons.
I have a modern clickpad in my laptop, and its been confusing right clicking with it on linux. Right clicked worked in 10.04 and 12.10 versions of ubuntu. I am a long term ubuntu user now moving to crunchbang and so far i love it. my only problem is the right click. the system recognizes my clickpad as one entire left click button. so when i try to right click, it works as a left click.
