Hi,
My EPL-6200L was detected properly by Ubuntu 12.10 (x64). But if I print to it, the job appears in the "processing" state and nothing happens in the printer.
Hi,
I'm trying to print to a Ricoh Aficio printer, my OS is Ubuntu 11.10 on a Sony laptop.
When I connect it it all seems ok, in the sense the printer appears on the printer list and is recognised as the correct model.
However when I send a test page the folllowing occurs.
Instead of printing a test page it prints the following text:
"CUPS PrintTestPage"
not sure why this is happen
Hi Everyone,I have a huge problem and I have problems to solve it :S...I've been used to install cups and hplip for my printer, then start cups (rc.d start cups) and go to the cups page at localhost, add printer.... But today, when I tried to print a file he fails saying ""/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster failed"...
graphical interface successfully located my epson stylus 110 printer and downloaded the drivers.
I printed a ubuntu test page.
The green light is on-on my printer, but when I select something to print, and see the logo
"print executing" and and the bar completed, it doesn't print.
On the print queue behind the above printer logo, it says " printer stopped ".
Cups 1.6.1, kernel 3.5.3 I have 2 printers that I tried and neither of them work. I just came back home from Europe after 9 months and reinstalled arch (update broke everything), and the printer worked before. I have a Lexmark X2600.
When I had 32 bit Kubuntu 11.10, I could share the Canon printer on my wife's Vista machine.
Hi all,I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner connected via USB to a small print- and scan-server running Arch (last update was yesterday). The printer is shared over the network and can be accessed from a Windows 7 client. But from time to time after 1-2 prints the printer crashes. I that happens, only a power disconnect can bring it back.
Just installed Ubuntu. It's my first experience with Linux.
Everything works great except I can't seem to get at my printers via the D-Link DPR-1260 Wireless print server.
I go though the printer setup dialogs to set this thing up as an LPD printer, and I end up with a "Device URI" of
lpd://192.168.1.12/deskjet5100
