[ubuntu] Rhythmbox not downloading podcasts

After adding a new podcast to Rhythmbox it starts downloading the newest episode automatically without asking the user for permission.

I do find this behaviour pretty annoying especially when you have a lot of podcasts and are using 3G broadband to access the internet.

Can you update the podcast feed and then choose manually which episode you want to download?

I use Rhythmbox's podcast feature, to automatically download new podcast episodes from feeds which I've subscribed to.

Would someone with access to a US WP8 device and Fiddler be so kind as to jump over to the podcasts section of the store and let me know what URL is loaded when accessing the "top" and "new"?

Podcasts aren't available on my phone and the emulator refuses to access the store when Fiddler is intercepting traffic.

Rhythmbox is playing my podcasts, but when I try to transfer them to my ipod I get an error message: Didn't get a playback URI for entry

Any ideas?

I haven't tried to do this since Ubuntu 10.10. I never found a good alternative to browsing the iTunes store and downloading podcasts to sync my itunes w/ and then to sync my iphone w/. Do most people these days just use Rhythmbox/Banshee/gtkpod or whatever?

I am getting a message saying insufficient memory when I try to download my podcasts.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 and I am experiencing the following with Google Playstore:

The Play store opens... I select the app... It prompts me to "Accept & download"... It says "App will be downloaded and installed",... if I press "back button" it shows the app page and says "Downloading" with bar (as it would be an app waiting

I subscribe to a lot of podcasts. Many of them, though, I only read the podcast description (saved in the metada of the mp3, I think) before deciding if I want to bother downloading that particular episode.

I'm running Rhythmbox on Ubuntu 10.04 and it's one of my favorite music players available.
