[ubuntu] reduce pdf size

view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a pdf that is 8MB which I need to reduce down. I used ghostscript with this command: gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -dPDFSETTINGS=/screen -dNOPAUSE -dQUIET -dBATCH -sOutputFile=passport_complete_natarized_small.pdf passport_complete_notarized.pdf This shrunk the file to 497KB but has now rendered the quality to low. Is there a way I can specify the amount of reduction i.e. to about 4MB? Thanks in advance, Chris (Hardware)
