Not sure why my printer suddenly stopped printing. I have a Brother HL-2270DW connected via USB.
The /var/log/syslog show the the following when I unplug and replug the USB cord in.
Hi community,
this is my first post! :) I've just installed Fedora 17 on an IBM X3550 M3. I'm doing some QEMU/KVM stuff and I need to do pass-through some USB device to my virtualized host.
The USB device is a USB dongle which can not be mounted (it contains just a license key from some customer).
I have a problem wherein my thumbdrive cannot be detected by any PC Windows or Ubuntu. However after trying so hard what I am seeing is that the disk gets detected but cannot be mounted. My lsusb shows it as
Bus 002 Device 016: ID 0781:5408 SanDisk Corp.
I have a Epson TM-T88IIIP attached to a Prolific PL2305 USB to parallel port. How do I print to this printer?
Here is the output from lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 067b:2305 Prolific Technology, Inc.
I've recently moved to Fedora from Ubuntu and I'm using Fedora 11 with KDE 4.3. I have external USB Hard disk drive with 2 ntfs partition of 200 GB each. I'm using HP Pavilion dv8000 laptop having AMD Turion 1.8 GHz Processor and 1 GB RAM.
I have a SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip mp3 player. When I plug it in to the USB port, I get the following:
$ dmesg
...
usb 1-3: new high-speed USB device number 11 using ehci_hcd
hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3
The Sansa does not show up in lsusb, or in fdisk.
I believe it is not a problem with the cable or the player, as a test-run on a Mac worked fine.
:)
