[ubuntu] Rebuild Ubuntu 13.04 Kernel to add Pciback?

view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I guess that title really says it all: I'd like to rebuild the Linux kernel that comes with Ubuntu 13.04 so I can add Kernel (as opposed to Module) support for PCIBack. Is there any easy, well-supported way to do this? Everything I've found online so far has been REALLY outdated (more than a couple of years) or involves downloading non-stock Ubuntu kernels from kernel.org. I would prefer to keep my system as close to stock Ubuntu as I can, but I want to have PCIBack compiled into the kernel (which Ubuntu doesn't do by default for some reason). If anyone could give me some advice, or at least (Hardware)
