Hello, forum users!
I need your advice in the choise of SoftWare.
I have a university studies named Object-oriented programming. And we use there Borland C++ to compile projects.
How can I do the same project at Ubuntu? Which IDE i have to choose?
Java is an object-oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems in the early 1990s. Java applications are compiled to bytecode, which at runtime is either interpreted or compiled to native machine code for execution.
The language itself derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities.
Gambas is the name of an object-oriented dialect of the BASIC programming language as well as the integrated development environment that accompanies it. Designed to run on Linux and other Unix-like computer operating systems, its name is a recursive acronym for Gambas Almost Means Basic.
Are you an absolute beginner who wants to get started with programming or an expert one interested in trying new cool languages – you may find a great one from the top 10 list of programming languages which are popular now (it’s based on a recent Hacker News Poll about the favorite programming language, a couple of days ago).
Like a fine wine, programming languages get better with age. Programming languages take years to become established and dominant. The deciding factor for many programmers when selecting a language for a particular project has been popularity and language acceptance, so this is a hard cycle to break for newcomers.
