[ubuntu] Problems with network printing

http://ubuntuforums.org – A few days ago I installed a new network printer Samsung SCX 4x24 following the UBUNTU 9.10 screen guide. Everything went quite well and the test page was printed correctly. Unfortunately when I print a document or an internet page the output from printer is a series of white pages. The printing of test page continues to be correct and if I use the printer from windows XP from any other network PC it works properly. Any suggestion? Pls consider that I'm newer in Ubuntu. I recently got a new laptop and installed Fedora 17 on it (Fedora 18 was too problematic). I am currently having an issue with printing using a network printer.

When I try printing a test page, it all works normally. However, if I try printing a document, it takes way too long to print. For instance, I started a printing job and waited.

I have a Netgear WNDR4500 wireless router which allows me to print wirelessly to a printer connected to it via a USB cable.

I have an odd printing problem. I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit, and installed the default driver for my Canon iP4200 printer. I've used this printer without any trouble for years...and when I print a test page from the Printer Configuration in ubuntu it works fine.

i got this problem with my printer, but it seems really a problem a lot of people are having.

i have ubuntu 10.04, and run on an parrallel port a hp 6l. the printer was found but could not print, the printing documents were pending and then disseappered.

Now i have connected a hp laserjet 8100 DN on the parrallel port.

I just purchased the above printer and installed it using cnijfilter-mg2100series-3.60-1-deb. It printed a test page in black and white successfully, but it won't print in colour.

I did not install via the cd's that came with the printer as the instructions only include windows and mac. I am not sure if it is a printer issue or a driver issue.

Hi,Some months ago I got a Samsung SCX-3200 mono multifunction printer. I installed samsung unified driver from AUR I think it was v3 and printer worked.After the driver got updated to v4 I think my problems started. Sometimes when printing a document I only got pages with garbage characters in the first line on the whole page.

I'm trying to print to a Ricoh Aficio printer, my OS is Ubuntu 11.10 on a Sony laptop.

When I connect it it all seems ok, in the sense the printer appears on the printer list and is recognised as the correct model.

However when I send a test page the folllowing occurs.

Instead of printing a test page it prints the following text:

"CUPS PrintTestPage"

not sure why this is happen

Hello. My printer has suddenly stopped working correctly, printing starts but paper stops half way through,although a message continues to say Printing from PC. This is the printer setting usb://Canon/MP610%20series?serial=491CED&interface=1. I tried printing a test page but this did not work. I have wubi dual boot with Windows 7.
