Hello!
I have two audio sets connected permanently to my computer: Stereo speakers in the normal (light green) output jack and my headphones in the front jack.
Problem is: My front jack is dying from having survived too many incidents, most of which implied unintentionally pulling the headphones wire while it's still connected.
I would like to plug the headphones on any of the 5 plugs ha
I don't know if you already posted a solution for this issue, but after done some searching i couldn't find anything. When i plug my headphones into the combo jack (i don't know if it's the actual name, but this is how i call it cause it's one hole for mic/headphones), the sound secuentially changes between headphones and the laptop speakers.
Hello, I am new to Fedora and a noob at Linux in general. Everything seems to work great so far on Linux except my audio jacks.
I am running Fedora 18 on a Dell Studio XPS 1647. There are two headphone jacks and a microphone jack which in Windows can be configured to be front, back and center speakers.
I have a Samsung laptop with Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit installed and cannot seem to get the audio card to work properly; internal speakers work just fine but when I plug in my headphones the speakers don't get muted.
I need to use Jack audio to prevent clicks but I'm having problems getting jack to play though my usb wireless g930 headphones.
I'm using puredata and I can get my usb wireless g930 headphones to work with the Alsa setting but Jack will only play through the speakers. Does anyone know how I can get jack to play through my headphones?
Thanks
PS I'm using ubuntu 12.04 64bit
Basically whenever i plug in headphones in 12.04 the sound plays through both speakers and headphones. Since release I have tried and failed to solve this issue many times.
Hi,
I'm running a F17 KDE X64 machine. And I've noticed this issue over the last few kernel updates. I'm not sure that it's the kernel that's the problem, though.
Basically, if I plug in my headphones and watch a video/listen to music, everything is okay.
Hello,
I am a total Ubuntu newbie, running 12.04 exclusively.
There is no headphones audio in the front port of my desktop. Interestingly, when I unplug my speakers from the back and plug my headphones in, audio works fine.
I'm not sure what logs or other diagnostic information is necessary, but I could use some help.
Thanks!
HelloI keep having a problem with Crunchbag. When i plug in my headphones in to the laptop I get sound from both speakers and headphones. been googling around for past two days but couldn't find a fix which would work for me. So i decided to just reinstall my audio drivers. I went ahead and removed alsa. Still had sound. I then removed pulse.
