I have installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my new Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 M772DGE.
Unfortunately the right mouse button is not working correctly. Every mouse button click is interpreted as a left mouse button click.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the synaptics (xserver-xorg-input-synaptics) drivers, but the problem is still present.
What else can I do?

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a Samsung Q35 kaptop
The mouse pad has stopped working, only the buttons work.
After the last time my Ubuntu 10.04 installed updates, my mouse middle button stopped working. The mouse is Toshiba and has three buttons (the middle one below the wheel). I activated the emulation in the meanwhile, but I prefer to keep using the button. I really don't know what update ruined it.
So I want to change my mouse config and after playing around with it, I can't get it how I would like.I'm on a regular laptop with a synaptics toucpad.I would like the config to be as follows:left button -> right click
right button -> left click
tapping one finger on the touchpad -> right clickI was able to get the mouse buttons reversed by adding xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2

After I upgraded to 12.04 LTS my middle mouse button stopped working... it worked fine before the upgrade. I can scroll with the wheel but when i push it down it refuses to work. Can someone tell me how to make my mouse work again?
Slackware 12.x, xorg.conf, fvwm95, generic 3-button scrollmice, both known to be working. USB ports work for various other USB devices -- card readers, portable drives, etc.
I can't get behind my machine to disconnect my ps2 mouse (long story -- ps2 mouse was removed once, but USB mouse still didn't work), but I'd like to add a (wireless, if possible, but not necessary) USB mouse.
Hi,
I'm using a Toshiba NB305 with Ubuntu 11.04. At least 50% of the times I start it up, the touchpad does not work [and doesn't even show up in the System->Preferences->Mouse]. The external mouse works always.
