[ubuntu] Problem installing wine

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am trying to install wine and it seems I have some mismatch. It was working before I re installed ubuntu 12.04 due to some other problems I was having. Maybe I am missing some repositories. So I just installed the ubuntu 11.10 ..

'sudo apt-get update' with the following error, unable to upate system...

Hi all,

Been unsuccessful in trying to install wine on my 11.3 KDE4 x86_64 system, from the Emulators:Wine/openSUSE_11.3 repo.

This is what my zypper throws up:

Every time I run sudo apt-get update, I get the following error:

Can't remove wine 1.4 rc5 34 weeks 3 days ago

I installed Wine 1.4 rc5. Later I realised that this wine won't work because there is no sound. I removed it using Synaptic Package Manager and installed Wine 1.2 which is the stable version of Ubuntu 10.04. Even though I install it. It's still showing Wine 1.4 rc-5. How can I remove wine 1.4-rc5 and install Wine 1.2 ?
